Shutdown Problems

I have XP Pro SP1. Several weeks ago my computer
developed a problem shutting down. It never shuts down
when I try a normal shutdown, but it always does when I
click Shutdown a 'second' time. It also started to shut
down when I click "restart" and when software installs
require restarts automatically it does not restart. I
have no clue as to why. Buggy MS update?? Event log
shows "shutdown failed/cancelled" All else works ok.

If that does not help you can use " Force " to close the program which is
not closing properly. Karens Show Stopper.
