XP reinstalled - Where is my old identity and .pst file?

HELP! I recently had to re-install Windows XP on top of
the original XP. (Long story, basically tried to repair
but pc would no longer recognize Admin password.)

Now, I am in the process of re-installing programs and I
am looking for my old .pst file (for outlook contacts),
but I cannot find it. I am also unable to find my old
identity. Is this information just gone?
