hello, when i access a program i have a good 15sec delay
while the puter clocks, what is causing this. after the
program is open puter moves right along.....virgil

There may be one of three common causes.
1) Did you install the MS update #811493 prior to May 28th? If so, there is
a new version that is available which you can obtain at;
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=811493
(The earlier version is notorious for causing system slowdown)
2) If the above is not applicable, did you install any new AV software? Many
Antivirus programs when using "real-time" scanners can cause system fatigue.
Norton is one prime candidate for this problem. Not everyone who uses Norton
seems to notice a problem, but a considerable number do see system
performance drop.
3) Did you install any new software? If so, uninstall it and see if
performance improves.
The above are generally the most common cause for your problem. If none of
the above solve the problem, post back for additional help.
