Hi
I've just re-installed Windows XP Pro after wiping both my hard disks after
a backup session. Prefering to hibernate my PC instead of shutting down, I
checked that it worked immediately after Windows XP was activated. My
computer successfully went into hibernation in about 4 seconds.
However, after re-installing Office XP, Delphi 7, Norton System Works 2003,
Quicktime 6, Nero, Medi Player 9 Series, WinZip, Diablo II + Expansion,
Acdsee 5, Getright, Paint Shop Pro 8, Java Virtual Machine, and some other
day-to-day tools, hibernation time has INCREASED to about 5 minutes!
This hasn't happen before. The last time I done a full wipe and re-install,
I had no problems with hibernate.
Is there a setting a can use, or some other fix, to get hibernation to work
again in 4 seconds, as it should be?
