Recently, every time i turn on the computer, chkdsk runs
just before the login screen comes up, and if i let it
run through it restarts again and runs chkdsk again..and
repeats the cycle unless i cancel the chkdsk by pressing
a key..and no, chkdsk is not a scheduled task,
either....when i tried to defrag drive C(which i do
weekly) it said i have to run "chkdsk /f" ...so i clicked
START, then RUN, and entered exactly what it said. then
my computer proceeded to bring up the command prompt
window thing and it said that i had to restart the
comuter in order to do it because the volume is being
used by another process and askes if i want to schedule
it...so, when i restart it it runs chkdsk. no biggie,
right? well, after it finishes, it restarts again, and
goes through ckdsk AGAIN. This pattern of restarting and
chkdsk'ing never ends unless you press a key to stop the
chkdsk from running.............what do i do? could
someone please help me because i'm runnin out of ideas,
and would really like to fix this problem...hope i gave
