Hello,

I recently completed a repair installation on my XP Home
and went to re-update window, via. Windows Update. I
downloaded SP1 and installed. I then went back to Win
update and selected the remaining 20 or so updates (all
at once) and clicked install!

They downloaded as would be expected via. my DSL and the
installation started. However, this thing has been
running for over 3 hours now and is almost to the last
progress bar and chugging? This is very abnormal and
should not take this long! Should it? I checked my task
manager and it says that the update is running (does not
say "not responding") Help!!!

If I just shut down and reboot, will that mess up my OS?
as it is in the process of updating?

Thanx...
Wade

stop the update and restart it again. i don't see there is any problem of
it.

maybe don't do them all at once, separate them is a better way.
