Wierd cursor after video driver installation

I have Ati Radeon 9800 Pro and I was forced to reinstall whole windows xp pro (no service pack). After installation system did not recognize my video card so I install last drivers Catalyst. After this and restart I get wierd black lines over my cursor. I can not get rid of it. Also when I move accross some icons, it changes their apperence. Also when I move with windows over other one, it lefts lines from edge on the window below. thanx for all help

Did you remember to reinstall the motherboard chipset drivers?
