I can't uninsatll it! My system runs very slow now-a-days
so I came here to read. I found numerous posts regarding
the update Q811493, so I intended to uninstall it. When I
opened the add/remove programs I found that there is no
remove button for that update. All the other programs
listed in add/remove, when I click on them, the button
appears, but for Q811493 I cannot get a remove button to
appear. Anyone have an idea how I can get rid of that
thing? I am only more certain now that it must be the
problem.
Thanks for your help

Dave;
You can install the new version that was released 28 May.
The new version will overwrite the bad files and the issue should be
resolved if this patch was the cause.
Or open My Computer
Double click C drive
Double click Windows
Double click $NTUninstallQ811493$
Double click Spuninst
Double click souninst.exe
This should start the uninstall process.

You need not delete it. The new version of 811493 released on 5-28-03 will
be installed over the old version.
