Would surfing the web be faster if you disabled cookies.
I never really need them for anything. Or would it cause
websites not to work?

Hi,

Not all web sites use cookies. You can disable cookies in
IE but you will get warnings to accept/reject cookies
which will distract you a lot. hence you can set the
settings to default to have a smooth surfing. the
performance depends on the modem speed and the traffic at
the ISP.
