msn messenger 7--help please

i just got my computer back from being fixed..and now when i go to use msn
messenger it will not let me click the concacts names to talk to them..i have
to right click "send an instant message"..anyone know how to fix that?

I don't know if this will fix your problem but its worth a try..

In MSN, go to the Tools -> Options and then go to the Security Tab and
check the one that says "Allow to directly connect to my friends while
sending messages". (its the 3rd option, maybe its not exactly that what
it says.. I'm not sure because I don't use the english msn version).

can you help me uninstall messenger 7.0 as it tells me it cant because the
patch packet could not be opened. the messenger is causing problems with my
general computer running

Just reinstall it from:
http://messenger.msn.com/download

If prompted for what to do, select Repair. Then uninstall it after that's complete.
