Norton

I have XP prof, an upgrade from ME. Was running norton
system works 2001, it is out of date and no longer
supported by Symantec. Tried to uninstall but got the
error

0: Uninstall log folder not found
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\[Product Current Version]
\Uninstall\Uninstall Log Folder

Anyone know what I can do. If I go into the registry and
delete the symantec folder from it will this take care of
the problem?
