I just started to use the current version of GSpot (can't say version
number - I'm on a different computer - but downloaded a few days ago),
and I see that for DX50 files, the reported bitrate is incorrect
(always "2"). The version of GSpot I'd been using till now (about a
year old - 2.1 or 2.2.1 or something like that) reports the bitrate
correctly.
Ironically, these same files are the only ones for which WMP10 reports
the bitrate correctly (File > Properties).
But wait, there's more: the above is only true for files created by my
capture device, which has a hardware encoder. If I create a DX50 file
using Virtualdub, both old and current GSpots handles it correctly.
I've only recently started to use DivX 5.2.1. Although this wouldn't
come into the picture for the BAD files (because they are produced by
hardware), it would be used during Virtualdub processing.
Anybody else notice a problem with DSpot bitrate reporting?
