silnce i got this new machine with Win XP, I have been
receiving updates. Each one is checked and downloaded.
However, the updates are all listed iln the Add/Remove
list in control panel. Can they be deleted without
stopping the effect they should have on this machine.
Will deleting them from the list ( which has grown quite
long) effect the computer? will it lose these downloads?
Thanks for any info you can give me
..

If you wish to safely remove the "uninstall files" for the
Hotfixes (i.e. $NtUninstallQxxxxxx$ files shown in Windows Explorer)=20
and cleanup your Add/Remove Programs list, visit MS-MVP Doug Knox's=20
excellent website for instructions.

Note: Doug's program only removes the uninstall files and Hotfix =
entries
in the Add/Remove Programs listing. It does not remove the=20
actual updates.
