Go to HELP and type FAX.
You send and receive with a fax modem connected to the phone line and the
fax program. No actual fax machine is used. A scanner can be used to input
documents or just create them. You can print if you wish. Nothing is
received via a printer. Others must have a fax machine or a computer with
fax capabilities.

You need a phone connection through which you can plug in a
telephone and make a call. You cannot dial a call through a DSL
modem. It just happens to share the same wires as your voice
telephone. If you have a landline voice telephone, you have to plug
your fax modem, not a DSL modem, in a wall jack which works with
voice calls. Your computer should still have an analog modem
inside.
