Hello all,
I ran scandisk on my C: because my defrag told me to.
After running Scandisk completely, my computer restarted.
Now, I can not even boot up my computer normally, i can
not get into the XP logo startup screen, much less use the
alternative startup commmand xp gives us (f9 i believe it
is?)
I have only been successful in booting my computer up when
i use my windows 98 installation disk. I am correcting
this problem by formatting my harddisk and reinstalling
everything... but i would like to know what caused me to
not be able to get into my computer. Does anybody have
any knowledge or experience in this?
this is my hardware configuration:
ASUS CUSL2-C motherboard
Intel Pentium III 700 Mhz
Maxtor 30 GB harddrive
soundblaster pci 512
32 meg ATI rage pro 2x AGP
