>It is not how much RAM you have, it is your CPU chip.
It is a Duron which has no Cache RAM. It has to use
shared RAM, of which you have plenty, but it takes time
to clean it out when you shut down. You might also check
how many programs you have in your StartUp. Disabling
them in StartUp will make your PC boot faster and
ShutDown much faster. Go to - Start/Run/type
MSCONFIG/OK/click startup tab, then disable all except
your Anti-virus program (maybe NAV) for Norton Anti-
virus, click APPLY/close/reboot. Now it should boot and
shutdown in about 20 seconds.
