View Full Version : Volume and beeps

My problem is very simple: Everytime I change the volume
the speakers make a beep at the new volume and it is
extremely annoying! I've tried every menu I can think of
and there is nothing about turning those beeps off.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Doug

Open the control panel, sounds and audio folder, sounds tab, scroll until you find
the sound that is annoying, expand the menu, click none (it is at the top of the
menu).

Tried that already. List expanded and everything there
is selected "none". The beep is still there.
Any other ideas?

On my computer, when I turn off the Default Beep in Windows XP, then I
get no beep from the Volume Control slider. However, I then hear a
quiet and different sound from my UPS--and that I have no idea how to
turn off, other than to turn off the UPS, at which time, as the
computer won't be on, the sound won't be either....
