Hello,
Recently (2 months ago) I installed XP Professional on my
DEll 950 Mhz P4 machine with 129 mb RAM. Every thing has
been fine until today. I came back from being gone 2
days and noticed that my system only had 36% free
resources. I immediately rebooted the machine and after
that only had between 28% & 30% available resources. My
colleague that used the machine while I was gone told me
that nothing unusual had occurred and there had been no
problems on my computer. This machine is networked and I
am not familliar with all the processes that should be
running at any given time. I ran MSCONFIG to see what
processes were running and all but 3 were MS processes.
I wondered if WIN automatic updates might have caused a
problem. Does anyone have a clue as to how I could find
out and solve this probem? Right now, only actively
running IE I have 17% free resources.
