safe mode-

O/S = XP Pro
I am unable to start in "safe mode" by pressing F8. I
have tried with the F-lock on and the F-lock off. I have
tried pressing the control key, alt, and shift when
restarting.
If I just switch off the computer with the reset button,
then the screen will come up giving me a selection for
safe mode. But, the arrow keys will not move thus not
allowing me to select "safe mode".
I am using the logitech elite keyboard if this matters.
All
other functions operate properly.

Bruce;
Are you tapping F8 once a second starting immediately after power on?
Try a PS2 keyboard.
