I bought my PC from my company and they had locked down Windows Update to
prevent users from personally updating their systems. If you run Windows
Update, you connect to the url but get a message in the Windows Update pane
that says:
Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested
page. Network problems are preventing connection to the Windows Update
servers. Please try again later.
If you continue to see this error, contact your network administrator.
Can anyone provide info on registry changes to allow updates to go thru?
I'd like to avoid a full OS reload.
