Since I upgradet Windows Me to XP profesional, my
computer would start by it self every midnight, no mater
what global time zone I would set. I can't find any help
any where. Please if any one know, let me know to fix my
very disturbing problem.
Thank you,
Vasia

You need to go into your BIOS and turn off 'Wake on Lan'. Some broadband
service providers probe your computer to see if it is still connected.

Some BIOS can actually turn on the computer at a certain time as well.

Look in BIOS and disable anything that says 'Wake on xxxx' such as wake on
LAN.

off the screen. At some stage later I come into the office and find that the
computer has powered up again without any assistance from me. It's a puzzle
to me and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction to correct
this.
