Windows Update Problem

Newly built PC - 1st task to go to Windows Update and get
the latest updates. 22 were available, 10 downloaded and
installed OK, the remaining 12 didn't install, and won't
install - their log file says:

"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file
Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is
running on this computer."

The service is running - if I manually download one of
the updates and run it, it also fails with the same
error. Any ideas?

Thanks Nicholas - renaming the catroot2 directory worked a
treat!
