Hello,
Is there any type of software I can use that will scan
Windows completely & possibly help fix problems? My
problem is that over the past month or 2, my computer has
been slowing down, I run Disk Clean up daily, I defrag 1-
2 times a week, i clear out the prefetch folder, i run
scan disk, i run a program called RegCleaner, I run a
program spybot - search & destroy to get rid of spyware.
I also edit the registry to clear out windows paging
files at shut down.
After doing all this, windows still slows down. When I
first installed it, It was alot faster then it is now,
and its only been a few months. I do not download alot
of junk, but I do have music, and expensive programs on
it. It usually slows down if I am listening to music in
winamp, and then I open up a program like Internet
explorer, or Photoshop 7, there is usually a lag in the
music and the software takes a bit longer to load.
Also when windows loads it goes slower then it used to
go. I do not have more then 2 programs in my windows
start up (Norton Antivirus 2003, and AIM).
I am hoping someone can help me out. I do not want to
have to format and loose alot of my stuff, and then go
thru the hassle of installing everything again.
Thank you in advance for your help, and sorry for the
long story.
Regards,
Matt R.
