OS in Restore CDs

To whom it may concern,
I'm running Windows XP Home Edition. My computer came
with four restore CDs and the OS is in there. I need to
format my computer, but I only want the OS and not the
other programs too. So, can I put the OS in one CD?

Doubtful. However, you would have to contact the company you bought your
computer from to be sure they would not send you a "just the OS" CD. They
have to be the one to support the software installed on your computer, as it
sounds like an OEM copy of the operating system if I have ever heard of one,
but that does not mean they have to provide you with a "just the OS" CD.
