I just got a Laptop. I will seldom use it anywhere except home. How often
should I let the battery run down and recharge. I will use the 110 volt
power supply most of the time.

If it has a lithium ion battery, which it probably does, you should keep it
fully charged and run with the AC adapter as much as possible. Lithium ion
batteries do not behave as Ni-Cad batteries and prefer short discharges as
opposed to deep discharges.

While this is true, you should take the battery out if when you
connect the laptopt to the power outlet for a longer period. I didn't
do it with my laptop and now the battery drains out in 5 minutes!
