AutoComplete doesnt work on XP
never saves any of my auto completes how can i stop this?

Check "help" in XP and search for "autocomplete". If you are referring
to "autocomplete" in a commmand box. It will tell you how to turn it on
and off. When on, then all it does is when you press the TAB key it
displays at each press of the TAB key the file names in the current
directory.
Without special add-ins, I don't think the command box will "remember"
commands like the the bash shell in Unix or Linux does by default.
If you are referring to "autocomplete" in an application, e.g. Word,
then you need to turn do what that application expects. Check the
application's help file.

Sorry ... silly me ... the up/down arrow remembers past commands in the
command prompt window. Old age creeping up.
