howdy all, I capture my video on pc as mpg. I use my laptop to import video
from pc since laptop don't have capture device. Anyway, I get video on
laptop, import with mmaker2, go to edit and have sound but no picture. I
tried turning off all filters, but to no avail. Any insight, suggestions, or
criticism would be greatly appreciated. thanks

MovieMaker doesn't like most MPEG files. Capture as WMV or DV-AVI or use
another video capture/editing software.

I'm no good at criticizing, but I am good at helping. I had the very same
issue (and it really ****ed me off). I have a setup with a DVD/VCR combo
hooked to my ATI TV Wonder Card (I produce music videos) on a XP SP2 Celeron,
and I had the same issues...for a while. How I fix it was that I re-adjust
the settings of the ATI software preferences. After that, it worked fine.
Try it with whatever your using in moviemaker.

You "produce music videos" on a Celeron? You must be a masochist....
No one in their right mind would use a Celeron for anything even resembling
serious work.
