.pst file icon changes

The icon used for my .pst files is suddenly no longer the four-colored MS
Office icon but the standard generic Windows icon. I am running Outlook 2002
on WinXP, all service packs and updates installed for both. At some point in
the last few days the icon my system uses for .pst files suddenly became
the familiar old Windows one. There don't seem to be any other problems but
of course it means you can no longer visually distinguish the files. If
anyone knows how to get the Office icon back for .pst files, I'd be
grateful.

Following on from the advice given in the MS Outlook froup, the path for
the file with Office icons is
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{91110409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0050048383C9}\misc.exe.
Don't bother associating the pst file type with Outlook, paste in the
path for the icon. Just did it on my PC buy finding an Office file type
that still had the icon then cut/pasted its icon path into the pst file
type.

When you have the pst file type highlighted click "Advanced" (or Restore
then Advanced), select Change Icon then paste in the file path & click
on OK. Now select the required Office icon, OK, then exit out..
