I have burned some movie to CDr, it is MPeg1 movies. But it can't be played
on JVC DVD player. However, it can be played on Akira Dvd player, why?

You did not record the movies in DVD format (MPEG2, Dolby Audio, and a
certain file structure). Your JVC DVD player only recognizes discs recorded
in the DVD standard. The Akira player has the ability to play MPEG1 files,
so it can play the files you recorded.
