how I can make about 3 partitions on my hard drive.

The utility provided with Windows XP is Fdisk but you cannot use the =
utility to create / resize partitions without destroying the existing =
files / data on disk. In effect you have to backup all data files, =
reformat the hard disk creating new partition of the desired size and =
then reinstall the operating system, programmes and backed up data =
files. Of course if you then decide the partition sizes need to be =
changed again you repeat the process.

There are two partition utilities generally recommended for creating / =
resizing
partitions. Partition Magic ( v8 ) considered the best and the most user
friendly. I have it installed.

An alternative is download a trial copy of BootitNG:

Hope this helps.

Easy enough, download BootIt NG ( http://www.bootitng.com ), unzip and
execute BOOTITNG.EXE to create the floppy, boot the floppy, and at the
Welcome to Setup screen, hit Cancel, and follow the prompts to the partition
manager. Now downsize the C: partition (w/ Resize), and use the freespace
gained to allocate and format additional partitions. When done, hit Close,
remove the floppy, and reboot.
