I have a new pc, windows xp. All of my jpegs are being saved as 'text
documents' instead of a jpeg format. My gifs are saved as gifs, but have the
problem with the jpeg format for some reason.
I have tried emptying my temp folders, my "do not save encrypted paged to
disk" is unchecked in my internet option. and they didnt help.

Anyone have any suggestions??

When you save the file, it should give you the option to designate the file
type/extension.
If the saved files are truely .jpg files, change the extention from .txt to
..jpg and see if they are viewable.

Thanks NotMe for the help, i went and checked the properties of the "jpeg"
that I was trying to save and as you mentioned it wasnt truely a jpeg format,
the picture
was in a text document format. never thought to check that aspect out on a
picture. :-}

Hi Capt.M,

The picture was probably encoded in yEnc format. That's why it had a *.txt
extension.
