Under documents and settings, I am known as "user". The computer also
recognizes me as "administrator". On windows opening screen "shadoe" is
used. I want to change "user" under documents and settings, to "shadoe". Can
I do this??? and of course, how? I am the sole user of my computer.
Thank you so much.

When you originally got the computer, the main user account was called
"User". Someone (possibly you) changed the name of "User" to "Shadoe",
not realizing that this would only change the "top" name. There is no
way to change all the files/folders in User's account to Shadoe.
Make a new user account and call it Shadoe1 (or whatever you like but
different from "shadoe" and copy the "User" account settings and data
to it. Then you'll be able to delete the first incorrect account. Here
is a link explaining the process. You will need to log into the new
account once before you can copy anything to it.
