I have 2 PC's, both connected to a wireless router - that being
connected to a cable modem. Everything was working fine.

My "network" printer is connected to PC1.
PC2 had a meltdown necessitating in re-installation of Windows.

Now (from PC1), I can't add the printer. I can "see" PC2, but not browse
("not accessible). I can't understand this as before the meltdown
everything worked perfectly.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Run the Network Setup Wizard on both machines. Check your firewall
settings, the most common problem is firewall glitches "not
accessible" = ie you can look but not touch. Try disabling it
altogether and see if that helps. Windows firewall gets switched on by
default every time you use the wizard.
