My DVD reader makes a buzzing sound.

Now and again my DVD reader - a Sony 2005 model - makes a loud buzzing
noise and this noise disappears after about 30 minutes of continuous use.

Is this normal, because even vibrations can be felt.

Maybe Yes, Maybe no!

The DVD disk may not be balanced. The DVD drive may have some sort of
balance mechanism that is sticking.
Buzzing and vibration can occur due to the rotational speed in combinatiuon
with an out of balance condition.
A change in speed may make the buzzing also change.
