Hi there

I need a scanner driver so I tried to download one from the (reputable)
scanner company.

When I tried to install it, I got a message that said, "a device driver that
has met the Designed for Microsoft Windows XP logo requirements."

I really, really, really need to use my scanner and I'm wondering if the
message about it possibly disabling certain functions on my new computer is
true.

How do you get a proper driver for the XP logo if the company can't provide
one?

Thanks!

Just because it isn't MS certified doesn't mean it won't work.
A lot of drivers are not MS Certified.

Then why do they give you such a "scary" this could harm your computer
message? Some of us take those really seriously so we don't proceed when we
get them.

Thanks for the input.
