monitor problem

I don't know if it is coindidence or what, but after
installing the new XP, my monitor will not lighten up, I
can hardly read anything, and I've tried everything I
know. Also, my speakers have gotten so low I cannot hear
them. Could the new XP have caused these problems?

Did you do a upgrade from another OS? You may have to update your
Graphics Driver.
