XP/IE will not complete Windows Update for Q811493

I have tried just about everything I can thing of,
diabling firewall, and anti-virus. Install, reboot scan
for updates - wham _ Critical update available Q811493.
Install, reboot, same thing all over again.

Has anyone else seen this, is there a fix or am I just
going to have to re-install XP - again??

Hi Kevin,

Windows Update published a fix to this yesterday morning. Can you try again
and see if it works now?
