It looks as I have backup program but does not work. It
says I have an invalid file name no matter what I put in
it. Also someone said my backup program really isn't
there and I should download the software from Microsoft.
What's that?

According to the above, Backup is not installed by default in XP Home
because the ASR feature (Automated System Recovery) is available only to XP
Pro, but the Backup interface still shows ASR as available when using XP
Home. Somehow, MS drew the conclusion that by not installing Backup, they
would avoid confusion (no, I don't understand this logic either) Anyway,
it's supposedly in the /VALUEADD directory of your CD. Just beware the ASR
feature is NOT available, despite its presence in the GUI.

This is clearly a stupid move by MS, they should have just made the damn
feature available to all and be done w/ it, but I suppose they just had to
find one more silly justification for having TWO versions of XP.
