I am trying to print multiple documents in XP. I have created a shortcut to
the printer on the desktop, and then I select several documents and drag-drop
them onto the printer shortcut. It asks me to confirm that I am printing
multiple documents, and I respond affirmatively, but nothing happens. I have
checked the printer driver, and this does not seem to be the issue. I did
note that if I drag and drop the documents they do not appear in the printer
queue, and when I drop the documents on the printer shortcut, no "printer"
icon shows up in the tray.

Thanks in Advance,

Michael

Is the power of the printer turned on?

Are the documents from the same application, such as word?
Remember that usually the application must open the document and prepare it
to be sent to the printing spooler/system, and the printer driver. The
usual path goes something like application> Windows GDI, print spooler,
print driver, print spooler>Printer..
(Each document gets stored or spooled several times in different formats
during the process.
