I have (re)installed some network components from the XP distribution CD
after accidently deleting them and need to find out what patches I need to
reinstall after this and how to do it.
Is there any tool that will:
1. Check my computer to see what patches are installed
2. Check to see what dlls etc (and their versions) that are supposed to be
on my system (compare the patch numbers with the files they install)
3. Compare the dlls and their versions of what is supposed to be there
against what is actually on the system
4. From this determine what patches I need to reinstall
5. Goto Microsoft and grab those patches.
I cannot figure out how to do all this manually so would like to know i
there is any automagic way of doing it.
