View Full Version : Sound distortion with WMM2

The video on my DV camera is in 12-bit. When I capture it using WMM2, it
apparently changes it to 16 bit (I don't know how to change that). After I
do my editing and record it back on my camera, it is 16-bit and sounds OK.
If I re-capture the same video back onto my computer, the sound is still OK.
However, if I then want to record it back to my camera again, the sound is
very distorted. It is very slow, deep, and gargaly sounding. Any help?
Does it have to do with the 12-bit to 16 bit conversion???

It's in the menu of the camcorder... if you've lost the manual, there is
probably a PDF on the manufacturer's website.

You are capturing via firewire aren't you?

Yes, I am using firewire.

Any way to re-record my dv file back onto my camera without the sound
distortion?
