I know this has circulated before, and I have checked previous posts, but (no
offense Cari) the link provided only showed supported file types. I'm already
aware the wmp 10 supports .wav files, but when I attempted to play a wav file
from the net, a message came up saying the file could not be played because
possibly the codec used to compress the file could not be found. Is there any
way of determining what codec is needed, and if so where to find and download
these codecs? Please help. Thanks . Big Bearded Buddy

A WAV file isn't compressed. If you can't find anyone else who can play the
file in question, I'd suggest it's corrupted in some way.
