My nephew was fooling with my pc and now I have two versions of the MSN
messenger loaded. One is the newest build 7.5 and the other is an older
version that I cannot remove from my pc as it's not listed in the ADD REMOVE
program.

Also I can't log onto either.

Need help. First how do I remove the older version?

MSN Messenger, by default, installs in \Program Files\MSN Messenger.

So, do you have such a folder? Or two?

If you have one look for msnmsgr.exe, right-click on it, select properties,
and determine the version. You can double-click the .EXE file and see if
messenger starts.

I haven't the faintest idea where that file(s) are.

I pasted msnmsgr.exe into the search and found the 7.5.306.0 bulid.
Cannot login , getting message saying it might be my firewalls, which I have
disabled. I also get a flag on the diagnostic repair under KEY PORTS. Sounds
like a settings problem. Need more help.
