374.75MB on H-drive, yet Disk Defrag says 3% free

I have a 20 gig hard drive. 1 year old machine. Only
374.75MB of programs on this drive. I have great speed,
it's just a pain when I run Disk Drfrag., and It won't
defrag. because of the 3% free. I have down loaded the
top downloads from PC World to clean up the drive. It
did, but I still have 3% free. cookies, disk clean up,
history, etc., I done it all. Installed a second 60
gig. today.

Enable Show Hidden Files and Folders -Start, Control Panel, Folder =
Options, View.

Extract from post earlier a while ago by R. McCarty, which is relevant:

Your C: Drive also contains the following, you may not be
aware of.

Pagefile.Sys - Probably in the range of 1.5 Gigabytes
Hiberfil.sys - A hibernation file also 1+ Gigabytes
System Restore - A fixed % of the drive (Around 10%)
Recycle Bin - A fixed % of the drive
Offline Files - Cached into C:\Windows\CSC
IE Cache - Probably set to 100+ megabytes (should be
Purged, set to 35 Megabytes max.
Temp Folders - Need to be purged. C:\Windows\Temp

These files are hidden by default.=20

Also are you using Norton Utilities -Norton Protected Storage?
