hp officejet v40

I have colors missing i.e. red, yellow, green, blue. This is what I have
done. Replaced cartridges, re-installed drivers, cleaned all connections.
primed cartridges. This problem occured after upgrading computer to windows
xp. The driver I am using is Xp. I am able to print fine in black and
white. When I print color I get colors but not right ones. Red comes out
like magneta and green comes out turquoise. Any help would be great I am at
the end of my knowledge.

Have you gone through the HP troubleshooting page for incorrect or missing
colors when printing?
