No Windows XP Generic / Text only Printer Driver

It sounds like the ntprint.inf file in your \windows\inf folder may be
corrupt. You probably have another on your hard drive. Either search for
the file, or go directly to the \windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 folder and
copy ntprint.inf and paste it to the \windows\inf folder.

I'd like to install "Generic/Text Only" printer driver in Windows XP Pro SP2
(German Edition). However, in the Printers menu there is no Generic! (I know
that between GCC and Gestetner, there should have been Generic.) What I need
is either to resolve this issue or to get and install this driver manually.
