Hi, I am looking to upgrade my radeon 9550 agp graphics card and am thinking of the x700 as I am limited to £100.Is this card better or will it be a waste of money? if so what do you reccomend I have a Abit a-17 guru motherboard and 500w psu 3gig pent 4 processor and a gig of ram. I am looking for a card that can handle games like sims 2 better than the one I have.

Your 9550 should work fine... depending on how much RAM it has onboard. But
the x700 will probably work better.
One way to make the Sims 2 work better is to run it in windowed mode....
Right click on the Sims 2 icon(s) on the desktop (I added the 's' in case
you have University and/or Nightlife)...
Then follow the instructions at:
http://compsimgames.about.com/cs/firsttimehere/ht/gamewindowed.htm
Try the windowed mode first on the 9550 (ensuring you have the latest
drivers from the ATI website and the latest version of DirectX - www.ati.com
and www.microsoft.com/directx) and see how that performs. Then if you still
want/need better, think about the new card.
