I have searched the Internet and tried lots of stuff, but
I still can't seem to manage how to network two computers
together. All the wiring is hooked up, so where do I go
now? Please explain in thorough detail (if you're nice
enough) or give a REALLY good site to follow (good if it
includes pictures).
Thanks,
Ryan

Windows XP has an excellent wizard which will create the
connections. Use the XP computer as primary if the other
computer is running another version of Windows (or other
OS).
You will have to set file sharing permissions on each
computer.

Click on MY NETWORK PLACES, there is a shortcut to the
wizard on that page.

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: NETWORKING , and hit enter.
Then click on the topic "What's New for Home Networking".

Better idea. Why don't you list exactly what you have done so far.
Then we can see if we notice an error. Otherwise you are asking for
someone to write a book on the subject for you, and that can be
costly. :-) Besides, there are already plenty of books that cover
this, as well as web sites.

Try www.google.com for finding a site.

Have set both machines up for sharing and am administrator
with full rights on both machines. Will check out the
sites you recommended. Thanks
