XP Hangs

I posted this earlier, but I thought I would try again. I
recently got a new power supply, because my old one went
of the fritz, but I'm not sure if this has to do with my
problem or not. On my computer, if I do not give any
input from my keyboard or mouse for a few minutes, it
will hang, no matter what it is doing. At first I thought
it was hanging when it tried to go into low power usage
mode, after being idle for a bit, but I figured out this
wasn't the case, because XP hung one time in the middle
of watching a movie on my computer. Obviously it wasn't
going into lower power mode, because the computer was
busy, and was not idle. I have determined that it hangs
if I go a few minutes without giving any input from my
keyboard or mouse. This is a very confusing and
troubling problem, since I can't leave my computer alone
to download something, because it will crash. Any help at
all would be appreciated.

I think you are on the right track with low power mode.
Watching a movie does not keep the screensaver or other power features from
activating. Only USER activity does.
