Installing Or Removing a Program takes long time (15 minutes)

After installing SP1 on my Gateway-P4 computer Norton NAV
AutoProtect got disabled. Also, Installing or Removing a
program takes 15-20 minutes!.

I didn't choose the 'Archive' option so I can restore my
system back.

Any help is REALLY appreciated. Thanks

I don't know if this is of any help but there were problems a few weeks back
with the Norton Updates which caused some weird behaviour on one of my
machines but not on the other. It might be worth a look. Do a search on your
machine for Nisum.exe and check the version by right-clinking -
Properties -Version. If the version is 6.0.2.2003, then this may be causing
the problem. The advice a few weeks ago on the Symantec site was to replace
it with the earlier version which they had available as a separate download
although I presume they have fixed it by now inLiveUpdate.

This was fixed by live update but I would recommend reinstalling NAV to get
the right updates.
